Tuscan Lakes Community Services Foundation

Tuscan Lakes’ most recent community contribution is all about children, with $40,000 in gifts that will bring smiles to people of all ages.

The Tuscan Lakes Community Services Foundation is awarding Goforth Elementary $5,000 to be used for a track at the school. Plus, the foundation is using $35,000 for bronze art purchases to be installed throughout Tuscan Lakes. The eight whimsical statues depict children at play — riding a bike, bouncing on a seesaw, swinging on monkey bars and reading on a bench, among other activities. The statues should be in place this summer.

“We are so excited about the track and are glad that Tuscan Lakes can be part of that project,” said Kimberly Noel, principal of Goforth Elementary and a Tuscan Lakes resident. “It will be a wonderful amenity, not just for the school, but also for the community.” Construction on the track is set to begin in August.

The Tuscan Lakes Community Services Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supplements and complements the community’s homeowners’ association. It is funded through fees assessed on every home sale and supports education, community programs, youth initiatives and more. To date, the foundation has donated nearly $49,000.

“The foundation is a great resource for Tuscan Lakes residents and really enhances the overall ambiance of the community,” said Bob Douglas, general manager, Bay Area communities. “Plus, as with the donation to Goforth Elementary, it allows us to be a good partner of the surrounding community.”
